Man arrested after two people stabbed at Royal Oaks party
Monterey County Sheriff’s deputies arrested a Castroville man after a stabbing at a party in Royal Oaks early Sunday morning.
Officers responded to a report of a stabbing victim on Hall Road just after midnight, at a party with more than 300 guests.
They found one man suffering multiple life-threatening stab wounds on Hall Road near Pini Road. He was transferred to Natividad Medical Center by AMR.
A second man was located at Las Lomas Rancho with life-threatening stab wounds and was transported to a Bay Area trauma center. Deputies said he was holding his two-year-old child when he was attacked.
Victims and witnesses identified the stabbing suspect as Emiliano Martinez of Castroville.
Deputies arrested Martinez, 29, on suspicion of attempted murder, assault with a deadly weapon and child endangerment. He was booked into Monterey County Jail.
