Morgan Hill Police interrupt residential burglary, arrest suspect

A Morgan Hill man was arrested Tuesday morning after officers interrupted a burglary at a Murphy Springs Drive home.

Officers responded around 11 a.m. and found Loran Green-Silveira, 25, still inside. Police made entry and convinced Green-Silveira to surrender.

Police say he’s on probation, and that they found multiple items of stolen property from burglaries in Morgan Hill and Gilroy.

Green-Silveira was booked in the Santa Clara County Jail on suspicion of possession of stolen property, violation of probation and trespassing.

Police remind residents to make a list of their valuables — such as televisions, computers and jewelry — and write down their serial numbers and description. Doing so can help police if your home is burglarized.
