One-acre wildfire contained in La Selva Beach
Crews responded to reports of a one acre wildfire in the area of Spring Valley and Water Tank roads in the La Selva Beach area Wednesday afternoon around 4 p.m.
It was quickly contained, but firefighters said it could have been much worse if a passerby hadn’t reported seeing smoke in the trees.
It occurred in a very wooded area near the KOA campground, but no evacuations had to be ordered.
Cal Fire is still trying to determine the cause of the fire.
