Police arrest man found sleeping in car with gun
Salinas police were called to the Quik Stop laundromat on Williams Road for a man identified as Jose Duran, 27, sleeping in his car Sunday morning. A gun was visible to the officers.
Police surrounded Duran’s vehicle and woke him up. Police said the gun was a BB gun but looked like a real handgun.
Duran was booked into jail for violating a city code that prohibits possession of a dangerous weapon and for having three outstanding traffic warrants.
