19-year-old man killed on Fairhaven in Salinas
A 19-year-old man was shot and killed while walking on Fairhaven Street Friday night, according to Salinas police.
Police say Daniel Hernandez was approached by two Hispanic men in their early twenties. There apparently were no words exchanged and Hernandez was shot multiple times.
The suspects fled into a car that was waiting for them. Police describe it as a burgundy sedan.
Hernandez was taken to Natividad Medical Center, where he died.
Police say witnesses were able to provide the vehicle description, but very little suspect information.
