MST service changes go into effect Saturday

Monterey-Salinas Transit has announced service changes to routes on the Central Coast. The changes will go into effect on Saturday, July 19.

The following services will be amended and schedules adjusted:

Line 16: Major route and schedule changes. New daily service to the Dunes Shopping Center and Monterey County Integrated Health Clinic. Service to areas between Monterey and CSUMB now operated as Line 18.

NEW! Line 18: New route serving most areas formerly served by Line 16 between Monterey and CSUMB as well as Fremont Street in North Monterey. New daily service to the Dunes Shopping Center and Monterey County Integrated Health Clinic.

Flyers detailing the new Line 16 and Line 18 routes and schedules will be available aboard the buses Friday morning.

Most of the other changes focus on the Presidio of Monterey routes and schedules.

Line 23: New service to San Lucas one AM and one PM trip, seven days a week. Northbound trip departs San Lucas at 6:10AM on weekdays and 7:55AM on weekends. Southbound trip arrives San Lucas at 6:20PM weekdays and 7:22PM on weekends.

Line 55: Minor schedule adjustment on weekends to meet train connections.

Line 56: Routing changes in Marina and Salinas, schedule adjustments to some trips.

Line 70: Elimination of afternoon trips, extension of one morning trip to La Mesa.

Line 71: Route eliminated.

Line 74: Routing changes through Ord Military Community and Toro Park, schedule adjustments to some trips.

Line 75: Major schedule adjustments.

Line 76: Elimination of afternoon and evening trips.

Line 77: Route eliminated.

Line 81: Minor schedule adjustment to Saturday morning trip.

Presidio Shuttle: Major schedule adjustments.
