Registration open for those who want to run for office in Monterey County

Monterey County elections officials say that any registered voters interested in running for office in the November 4 Consolidated General Election can do so between July 14 and August 8. Candidates for schools and special district Offices file with Monterey County Elections; city office candidates file with their respective city clerk.
