Crews respond to reports of explosions heard in Boulder Creek area

Crews from the Boulder Creek Fire Department and Cal-Fire responded to reports of explosions heard just before 10 a.m., but no fire was found.

Dispatchers said callers were reporting they’d heard what sounded like five explosions in the area of the 22000 block of Bear Creek Way. Black smoke was also seen, callers said.

Boulder Creek Fire Chief Kevin McClish said late Wednesday morning that crews had searched the area but didn’t find anything.
