About 100 people show up to protest of Mi Pueblo shooting

3 this is i-coverage of the protest .. about 100 people showed up.. salinas police say “osman hernandez” was seen waving a knife in the mi pueblo parking lot… after drinking at a nearby bar. police say they tased hernandez… but he reached for the knife again… so they shot and killed him! 3 *the first offier starts to walk over to hernandez and mr hernandez looks over at an officer puckers his lips like he is going to kiss the officer and then looks at the spanish speaking officer and says please forgive me 3 in spanish.* last week, salinas police chief kelly mcmillin held a news conference where he said the use of force was justified. but the family of osman hernandez told us, they disagree! 3 *”everyone who was there was saying that what police did was not right, that they had acted wrong. he had gotten off from work and he had his knife that he used out in the fields” “the officers who did this, we want them to be punished. this just cant stay like 3 this”* the family has hired a bay area lawyer. no decision has been made as to *whether the family will file a lawsuit.* 3
