SPCA now operating stables at Indian Springs in Salinas

The SPCA for Monterey County is now offering affordable, quality horse boarding at Indian Springs, formerly known as Indian Springs Equestrian Center, at 22400 Indian Springs Road in Salinas.

SPCA Stables at Indian Springs offer large stalls, paddocks or pasture; two riding arenas, lighting for evening riding and multiple turnout. Further upgrades are forthcoming.

This month, the organization Hope, Horses and Kids will be visiting the stables. It’s a nonprofit equine learning program designed to help local children with social and emotional difficulties or disabilities.

On May 31, the stables will host a special sensory training clinic aimed at helping horses and riders overcome confidence issues.
