Three arson-related fires spark in Salinas Saturday
Fire crews responded to three arson-related vegetation fires that sparked Saturday at Natividad Creek Park in Salinas.
Crews on scene say the three fires started around 2 p.m. and stretched out to be about two acres combined.
The Wildland Response Team quickly came to the scene and put out all the fires before they grew out of control.
Crews are now trying to find the person responsible for intentionally setting them.
According to firefighters, a couple of kids say they saw a man light the fires. He’s described as a man in his 20s to 30s, wearing a black T-shirt and riding a bike.
Anyone with information is urged to call police immediately.
