Salinas man arrested on suspicion of rape, child molestation
Greenfield police arrested a Salinas man early Thursday morning on multiple charges of sex assault involving a child.
Officers executed an arrest and search warrant at the home of Oscar Lucas just before 8 p.m.
Lucas, 20, was arrested on suspicion of aggravated sexual assault with a child under 14, rape, lewd and lascivious acts with a child under 14, making criminal threats, annoying and molesting a child, false imprisonment and multiple counts of penetration with a foreign object.
Greenfield Police were assisted by the Monterey County Joint Gang Task Force and a parole agent from the California Department of Corrections and Rehabilitation.
Evidence collected during the search resulted in an additional charge for possession of child pornography.
