Rollover accident sends man to bay area hospital, knocks out power

A rollover accident at Frietas and Flint road knocked out power Monday afternoon to about 50 homes and sent a man in his 20’s to a bay area hospital.

CHP says the man, driving a red Mazda, may have run a stop sign on Flint road. He had to be extracted from the vehicle with the jaws of life and was airlifted to a Bay Area hospital.

The other driver, a woman in her 30’s, had only minor injuries. The cars hit a power pole and blew a fuse knocking out power to the homes.

PG&E crews expected power to be restored within an hour of the accident.
