Mountain lion spotted near Gilroy park

Gilroy police say they are still on the lookout for a mountain lion that was spotted at Christmas Hill Park Friday.

The park was closed temporarily, but has since been reopened.

Police did a thorough search of the area, but the mountain lion was never found.

Police want to remind people if you see a mountain lion to not approach it and call 911.
