Scotts Valley police release sketch of man who allegedly harassed a teen girl
Scotts Valley police have released a sketch of the man they said harassed a minor on May 1.
Investigators said at 6:30 p.m., a 16-year-old girl was at a Scotts Valley Drive bus stop after missing her bus. The man in question, in a red four-door sedan stopped and asked that girl if she needed a ride.
The teen accepted the ride and told police that, after a short distance, he pulled over on a side street. She said he then tried kissing her and attempted to tug at the shorts she had on.
The teen kicked the man before escaping from the vehicle and running to a nearby gas station.
She described the man as East Indian with a heavy accent in his late 40s, 5 foot 6 inches to 6 feet tall. She said he had receding black and gray hair, brown eyes, yellow-stained teeth and dirty fingers. He was last seen wearing jeans and a dark blue button-up shirt.
The vehicle is described as an older model sedan similar to a Honda with a black interior and manual transmission.
