Around 5:30 p.m. on March 27, a Hollister resident went to the Hollister Super Market on Third Street, according to police. While purchasing some items, he placed his wallet on one of the nearby counters near the cashier. He left the store, realized he’d forgotten his wallet and returned 15 minutes later. The wallet was already gone.
Store personnel and the man watched surveillance footage from the store that depicted a man, two women and a small child enter the store, take the wallet and then leave in a dark-colored truck.
Police officers’ attempts to identify the suspects through local police and arrest records have proven unsuccessful.
The man is a light-skinned Caucasian or Latino male with short brown hair, approximately in his 20s. The two women are wearing similar clothing, have long black hair and medium complexion, and appear to also be in their 20s.
Police ask anyone with information on this investigation to contact Officer Bill Hutchinson at 636-4330 or call the anonymous tipline at (800) 78-CRIME.
