Major crash on Highway 129 and Old Chittenden Road in Aromas area

California Highway Patrol officers were allowing traffic to flow as usual after a two-car crash in the area of Highway 129 and Old Chittenden Road near Aromas. The road was closed and traffic was diverted after the 3:30 p.m. crash but all lanes were reopened just before 5 p.m., CHP dispatchers reported.

One driver was reportedly suffering head injuries and was being air-lifted to a local hospital. He had his 18-month-old child with him, according to dispatchers, but the child didn’t appear to be injured.
