Nearly 300 pot plants seized in San Juan Bautista bust
Nearly 300 marijuana plants and growing equipment were seized Friday from a San Juan Bautista residence.
Members of the San Benito County Sheriff’s office, the Unified Narcotic Enforcement Team and the Gilroy Police Department served a search warrant at a home on Via Vaquero Sur Friday morning.
Inside the home, officers recovered 299 marijuana plants from four different rooms. Grow light, nutrients and other materials were also seized. Additionally, the electrical power line leading into the residence had been altered, indicating theft of utility services.
Tuan Hoang Pham, 31, was arrested and booked into San Benito County Jail on suspicion of cultivation of marijuana and theft of utility services.
