Person hit in drive-by shooting in Watsonville

Watsonville police are investigating a drive-by shooting Tuesday night on the 100 block of Jefferson Street, where one man was hit in the leg after bullets reportedly went through the wall of a home.

The shooting happened just minutes before 10 p.m. The scene was cleared about an hour later.

The man was taken to a hospital and is expected to be okay. Some children, ages 10-14 years old, were inside the home at the time of the shooting, but were in a different room and were not injured.
