Soledad High School teacher under investigation
Central Coast News has learned that a Soledad Unified School District teacher is under investigation for alleged misconduct.
Soledad police confirmed Monday that Jacob Browne was arrested Friday. He’s accused of having inappropriate contact with a student.
The school district sent out a press release confirming that an employee is being investigated and has been removed from campus pending the results of the investigation.
“The district takes each and every reported act of misconduct seriously. We are committed to investigating all concerns or complaints regarding District personnel and, when necessary, initiating appropriate disciplinary or administrative measures,” district officials said. “The safety and well-being of our students and staff is our top priority. Please be assured that the school and district will take every precaution to ensure the safety of our students and staff.”
Browne’s Facebook page identifies himself as a high school biology teacher with the district.
Stephanie Hulsey of the Monterey County District Attorney’s said charges are pending.
