Santa Cruz man arrested for gun, drug possession

A Santa Cruz man is accused of being a felon in possession of a weapon, methamphetamine and marijuana.

Members of the Santa Cruz County Anti-Crime Team/Gang Task Force went to a Dufour Street residence Thursday afternoon to conduct a probation compliance check of Andrew Tennyson.

A search of the residence turned up a loaded 9mm handgun, 1.5 pounds of illegally possessed marijuana and a small amount of meth, Sgt. Stefan Fish said.

Tennyson, 20, was arrested and booked into Santa Cruz County Jail.
