Beach advisory lifted at Monterey Municipal Beach

UPDATED Wednesday, April 23, 2014:

Monterey County health officials have lifted an advisory for Monterey Municipal Beach.

Earlier this week, the beach was posted with an advisory due to elevated levels of bacteria.

New samples taken today found that indicator bacteria are at a safe level for recreational water contact according to state guidelines.
