Two massive drug seizures in Seaside in one week

Investigators with the Peninsula Regional Violence and Narcotics team executed another gang arrest and drug bust this week.

The first seizure was on Thursday with two stolen vehicles, several weapons, drugs and more than $70,000 in cash in both Monterey and Seaside.

Then on Friday, detectives say they seized even more drugs during a search warrant.

Marijuana, money, ecstasy, methamphetamine, hydrocodone pills, ammunition and two loaded guns were recovered at the house on Kenneth Street, according to police.

Two men were eventually arrested. 18-year-old Michael Trinidad and 20-year-old Martin Trinidad are now behind bars following the search warrant, according to police.

The drug busts come as detectives say there’s been a recent spike in gang-related violence in Seaside.
