Man attempts to rob Watsonville Wells Fargo Saturday

Police in Watsonville are investigating an attempted robbery Saturday around 11 a.m. at the Wells Fargo located on Freedom Boulevard.

Police say the suspect walked into the Wells Fargo with a white rag covering his face and proceeded to stand in line before leaving.

He then came back and told the bank teller to give him money ,according to police. Once the teller told him she didn’t have any more, the suspect then left without saying anything else, according to police.

Police say he was last seen walking southbound on Freedom Boulevard toward the Foster’s Freeze. There were approximately 12 bank employees and customers inside the bank, but police say nobody was hurt.
