Two people behind bars after several run-ins with police

Santa Cruz police arrested two people, described as having a history with running into the police department. One of them, officers even called a probation all-star.

Police say both Adrian Puga and Selene Bazarnick were arrested after police responded to reports that Puga threatened a motel guest at the Hitching Post motel on Soquel Avenue Thursday.

Police say when they arrived, they found the two parked in a car around the corner from the motel with large amounts of drugs in their car. Police say Bazarnick was also found with a bullet in her brassiere. A loaded gun was also discovered, according to police.

Among the items seized from the couple was some watches, a digital camera and Italian coins packaged up in collector’s pouches, according to police. If you were a recent victim of a burglary, you are urged to call the police’s investigation unit at 831-420-5820.
