Deputies: Felton teen made up reported attack

Santa Cruz County Sheriff’s deputies say reports of an attack on a 15-year-old girl in the San Lorenzo Valley were false.

According to deputy Ryan Kennedy, when officers interviewed the teen again, she recanted her story. She’d originally told deputies she was grabbed by a man Tuesday afternoon while walking home from San Lorenzo Valley High School in Felton.
