Aptos man arrested on suspicion of multiple credit card thefts

Santa Cruz County Sheriff’s deputies have arrested a man they say is linked to a number of burglaries throughout Santa Cruz and Monterey counties.

Michael Hague was arrested Tuesday evening on suspicion of burglary. Deputies believe he’s been involved with five thefts and burglaries in the Aptos area in the past two months. In those cases, Hague is accused of stealing people’s credit cards and then making fraudulent purchases using their accounts, Deputy Ryan Kennedy said.

While arresting Hague, deputies seized a number of items they believe links him to burglaries and thefts in Monterey County.

Deputies are still looking to interview two other men they suspect may be associated with some of those crimes – 36-year-old Allan Smith and 28-year-old Dino Moschetti.

Deputies ask anyone with information about this case to contact them at 454-1211.
