4.4 Quake Rocks Southern California
(AP) An early-morning earthquake jolted parts of Southern California Monday as it rolled across the area.
The quake registered a magnitude 4.4 and was centered in an area between Westwood and Encino, according to the U.S. Geological Survey. Experts say the quake occurred at a relatively shallow depth of about five miles.
Los Angeles police and fire officials said there were no immediate reports of damage or injuries.
