Two men shot and wounded, gunmen on the loose
Deputies are on the hunt for the gunmen who shot and wounded two men Wednesday.
It happened on the 1100 block of Wood Street in Castroville. Monterey County Sheriff deputies say two men fired multiple handgun and shotgun rounds at individuals outside their residence. One victim sustained a gunshot wound to the buttocks area and was transported to a county hospital. The other suffered an injury to the upper right arm. He was taken to an area hospital. No word on the condition of either victim.
Anyone with information on the shooting is urged to call police.
