Aptos Junior High on lockdown Monday

A lockdown at Aptos Junior High School was lifted around 2 p.m. Monday after deputies say there were reports of a suspected gunman nearby.

The sheriff’s office was investigating a man who was trying to harm himself with a gun in the area of the school when the lockdown was put into affect.
