Bryan Stow attackers now face federal weapons charges
The two men convicted of severely beating San Francisco Giants fan Bryan Stow now face federal weapons charges, according to court documents.
Louie Sanchez and Marvin Norwood pleaded guilty last month for their respective roles in the attack on Stow, a Santa Cruz resident. The pair brutally beat Stow in the parking lot of Dodgers Stadium after the opening season game between the Los Angeles Dodgers and the Giants in March 2011.
Sanchez was sentenced to eight years in prison for a felony charge of mayhem. Norwood received a four-year prison sentence for felony assault.
Earlier this week, federal prosecutors charged the pair with federal weapons charges for being felons in possession of firearms, according to the indictment filed in U.S. District Court in Los Angeles,
Stow, 45, was a paramedic at the time. He suffered a traumatic brain injury in the attack and is still recovering.
