Investigation Continues into Human Remains Found of Highway 156
A preliminary investigation is underway on human remains found in an agriculture field last week off Highway 156, east of Highway 25.
San Benito County deputies say the skeletal remains were of a man and were at least ten weeks old.
No word yet on the cause of death.
Cadaver dogs and the Search and Rescue Team were looking found some other small bones and took them to the anthropologist to determine if they are human or animal. No additional evidence was located.
The Sheriff’s Office is waiting to hear back from the lab regarding DNA.
