Deputies said that two people were arrested in south Monterey County for evading arrest and one of them had a Rambo style knife.

A deputy tried to pull over a car for code violations at the entrance of the Pine Canyon Trailer Park early Sunday morning.

Deputies said that the rear passenger, Anthony Rios, opened the door and started running. At the same time the driver of the car, Fernando Blanco, drove away, said deputies.

Both Rios and Blanco was caught by officers and arrested.

Deputies said that Blanco had a warrant out for his arrest and appeared to be intoxicated. He failed a CHP field sobriety test and was arrested for driving under the influence, driving on a suspended license, and probation violations.

Deputies also searched Rios’s home and found a Rambo style knife, gang paraphernalia, prohibited ammunition, marijuana, and a methamphetamine smoking pipe.
