Family of Santa Cruz Man Who Fell to His Death Looking for Answers

The family of a Cabrillo College student who died in November is looking for answers. Police said that 19-year-old Angel-Jose Santiago Camberos Rosas accidentally fell about 30 feet to his death from a Front Street railing.

According to his mother, Rosas was at a party when he decided to walk home. The police told the family that nobody at the party saw Rosas leave.

Sometime between 12:30 a.m., when he left the party, and 2:15 a.m., when he was found, something happened to Rosas, believes his mother, Maria Padilla.

Padilla told the Santa Cruz Sentinel ,”I think that something happened to my son when he was walking home — that’s why he was up there.”

Padilla is asking anyone who may have seen something to please call her at 831-435 8163.
