Alert Neighbor Leads Hollister Police To Suspect

A man arrested on charges of drugs and weapons is behind bars thanks to an alert citizen, said Hollister police.

Saturday morning, a neighbor called 911 to report a suspicious man looking into parked vehicles and over fences in the area of Cerra Vista School and Union Road.

Officers were sent to the area and found a man who matched the description of the suspect. Officers searched the suspect, 48-year-old Robert Jimenez Jr., and said they found an illegally concealed knife.

Jimenez was taken to jail where he was booked for possession of a controlled substance, possession of drug paraphernalia, carrying an illegal weapon and providing false identification to a police officer.
