Salinas Public Safety Tax Will Have Sunset Clauses Added

Supporters of the proposed public safety tax initiative in Salinas announced that a sunset clause will be added if it makes it to the ballot.

A sunset clause basically means that it will eventually expire, unless people want to it to continue.

The public safety tax would be a one-percent sales tax that would provide 20 million dollars a year to Salinas police and fire departments.
