Man Found Dead in Hotel Stabbed Numerous Times

Update: Salinas police say the man found dead in his hotel room at the Laurel Inn was stabbed multiple times and often stayed at the hotel.

They say 53-year-old Bobby Dick, Jr., of Morro Bay, failed to check out Thursday afternoon as scheduled. That’s when a maid, on regular rounds, found the door cracked open and his body inside.

Police say he was a traveling mechanic and frequently came through the area.

Police are investigating a body that was found in a Salinas hotel room.

The call came in Thursday afternoon and police found the body of a man in his 50’s in one of the room’s at the Laurel Inn.

Officers said that there was no obvious signs of trauma. They also said that they did not find any drugs or weapons on scene.

At this time police are still trying to determine what happened.
