Couple Shot at in Salinas Saturday Afternoon

Salinas police say two people were shot at while inside of their car Saturday afternoon on the 1500 block of Marin Avenue.

According to police, it all happened around 3:00 p.m. when the couple was sitting in their parked car. This is when a white car with four males inside pulled up besides them. Police say the victims told them this is when one of the suspects started challenging their gang affliation and then opened fired.

Neither of them was struck by the gunshots, but their car did get hit in the crossfire.

Right now police say this is being investigated as gang related.
