Segment of southbound Highway 101 closed overnight twice this week

SALINAS, Calif. (KION) Southbound Highway 101 between East Market Street and North Main Street will be closed overnight Tuesday and Wednesday.

The lanes will be closed from 10 p.m. Tuesday through 5 a.m. Wednesday and again Wednesday night into Thursday morning.

Drivers will have to detour at North Main Street to Rossi Street to Sherwood Drive before re-entering the highway on the East Market Street southbound on-ramp.

Caltrans is replacing pavement in both directions of Highway 101 between East Market Street and Boronda Road, and there will be closures on segments of roadway while the work continues.
