Meet Frankie! This brave boy came to AFRP after Santa Cruz County Animal Services asked for help for him and his big brother Rufus (that has since been adopted). Now thriving in a cozy foster home, Frankie is ready to find his perfect furever family!

Frankie is an adorable, playful, and energetic pup who loves to run, play fetch, and go on long hikes. He is lovable and affectionate to everyone he meets, and he loves to cuddle. Frankie gets along well with dogs of all sizes and would do great in a home with another dog to play with! He can sit on command and is still working on potty training, but he's smart and eager to please. Frankie was born with a neurological condition that makes it difficult for him to regulate his bowels. He's on a special diet to help with his situation, and he needs daily bathing/wiping to stay clean. He could be a candidate for occasional diaper use while in the house. Although Frankie has special needs, he has a huge heart and a happy-go-lucky attitude that is sure to win you over.

Frankie would do well in various types of families, and has lived with children in his foster home. He would do well with dog-savvy children that would be patient and gentle with his small size. He'd love to have a similarly sized playmate to romp around with, and he may do just fine with a dog-savvy cat in the home given slow and proper introductions!

Frankie is currently in foster care. Meet and greets can be arranged once your online application has been approved. Visit www.animalfriendsrescue.org for an online dog application.
