Pet of the Week: Meet Toby!
Last week we introduced Homelander, an orange tabby, who has been adopted already. Toby is our second orange tabby kitten this year, and we’re hoping he has the same good luck! Brothers Toby and Tim were rescued in Gonzales when they were found alone in worker housing when only a few months old. Toby has been neutered, vaccinated, and microchipped, and is ready to join your family!

Both Toby and Tim were treated for a respiratory infection when they first arrived but are fully recovered
now. Toby is the more confident of the two and usually leads the way when exploring. He likes being around people and happily follows his foster parents around. Toby is quite playful and he and his brother play chase and wrestle constantly. When it's time for a break, he loves making biscuits on his parents. Toby would prefer to be adopted with his brother, Tim, who is a little more shy. They would do well in a low to medium activity level home but have not been exposed to dogs.
Our Neighborhood Pet Project will be hosting their next monthly adoption event in about two weeks at the Salinas Farmers Market from 10 am until 2 pm on Saturday, March 1st. They'll have both cats and dogs of all ages attending, and we encourage you to stop by and meet our furry friends!
