Pet of the Week: Meet Landon!
Our first dog of the New Year is Landon, who appears to be a pit bull/boxer/terrier mix who may also have some Great Dane genes. He has had a rough start, beginning with life as a puppy in a local animal
shelter. While Landon was initially adopted, the adoption didn't work out and he was returned to the
shelter after he was a year old. ONPP rescued Landon when his original foster was unable to foster him
again. He has been neutered and microchipped and is up to date on his vaccines.
Now about a year and a half old, sweet Landon is an 80 pound ball of energy who loves his chew toys and
hanging out in the backyard to enjoy the sunshine. His foster home includes another large foster dog
buddy who is scheduled for adoption very soon, so we’re hoping we can find a good home for Landon at
about the same time.
Landon loves to play with other dogs of all sizes and has a gentle demeanor which makes him a good companion for children who have experience with larger dogs. Landon's ideal furrever home would be an active outdoor-oriented household with a backyard and other canine companions to play and take naps with outdoors.
You can submit an adoption application at www.ourneighborhoodpetproject.org.
Our Neighborhood Pet Project's next adoption event is this weekend at the PetSmart in Salinas
on Saturday, January 18th, from 10 am until 2 pm. We will have both cats and dogs of all ages attending, so it’s a great way to meet a number of animals in one stop!
