Pet of the Week: Meet Phana!

Meet Phana, who is Forna’s twin sister! She and her siblings were surrendered to Our Neighborhood Pet Project (ONPP) by a family in Greenfield. Phana looks identical to her brother except she’s slightly smaller. Four of the kittens are being fostered in Marina and comprise the Cowfish Litter, as their foster parents are avid scuba divers and name litters after fish they’ve seen. All of the Cowfish kittens are spayed or neutered, microchipped, and vaccinated already!

Phana

Phana is a 16-week-old tabby girl who is both talkative and playful. She is a high energy girl who loves playing with her toy mouse and chasing her siblings around the room. Phana is also
a friendly girl who will chirp for attention. Phana has an affectionate side as well, and once she’s gotten the zoomies out, will regularly check in to get attention from her foster parents.

She will nudge them and once she gets some attention, will react with loud purses of contentment. Phana has been living with other kittens of various ages and is receptive to meeting adult cats. Her remaining siblings are Forna and Tori, and adopters are encouraged to consider adopting a pair! Phana’s ideal home would have high activity levels with four-legged companions to play with, especially when humans are absent.

If you're interested, you can send an adoption application at e, www.ourneighborhoodpetproject.org.

ONPP’s next adoption event will be next year on the first Saturday of January, our regularly occurring day at the Salinas Farmers Market. We’ll be there from 9 am to 2 pm and the remaining Cowfish kittens, as well as other cats, kittens, and puppies will be at the event. Please stop by and meet some of them!
