Pet of the Week: Meet Batavia!
Today, Batavia, who is Orbie’s brother, is our Pet of the Week. Batavia and his three siblings were living outdoors in San Ardo with their mom and had become extremely sick and
malnourished. After they were surrendered to Our Neighborhood Pet Project (ONPP), we immediately got them emergency medical attention. Fortunately, with additional care and medication, three of the kittens survived and are now growing and active kittens in foster care in Marina. All have been spayed, neutered, microchipped, and vaccinated, so they are available for immediate adoption.
Batavia is a 10-week-old orange tabby kitten with a white belly. He is the largest of the litter and the
clear leader, always the first to explore new surroundings and ready to meet new people. Batavia is a
very high energy kitten who loves to wrestle with his siblings and chase them and his bell ball. He has
several favorite toys and anything with noise is guaranteed to get his attention.
Batavia also loves his people time, happily cuddling with his foster parents and closing his eyes when his belly is rubbed. Batavia is part of the Spadefish litter, named after some of the fish his scuba diving foster parents see in the ocean. The Spadefish litter includes his brother, Orbie, who was on air two weeks ago, and his sister, Ephie, a tortoise shell girl. While all are still growing and their personalities developing, we expect that they will each do well in medium to high energy homes with two- or four-legged companions and lots of love. And adopting two siblings together would be ideal!
