Pet of the Week: Meet Dora!
Meet Dora, our Pet of the Week! Dora and her brother are part of a litter of six found wandering on Old Stage Road in Gonzales. After being rescued, the litter was divided among two foster homes and
cared for until old enough for adoption. Dora has been spayed, vaccinated and microchipped, so she is ready for her furrever home today!
Dora is a now a 14-week-old solid black kitten with lots of spunk and personality. This fearless girl lives up to her namesake and is quite the exporer, always ready to meet new people and explore new
places. She is quite energetic and talkative, but in a friendly and endearing way. Dora’s been leading her brother around, showing him there is little to fear when you’re safe inside a foster home. She
loves to dash about and play with her brother.
Now Dora has several new playmates, foster kittens of various ages. While Dora is full of curiosity and loves to play, she loves getting attention and will constantly seek humans out for pets and cuddles, purring and talking the whole time. She does enjoy laps, but tends to quickly leap off to play again. Dora would live to find a high-energy home where she can receive plenty of attention and work off her high kitten energy levels. She gets along very well with other cats but has not been tested with
dogs.
Our Neighborhood Pet Project’s next adoption event is Saturday, December 7th, and the Salinas Farmers
Market. We’ll be there from 9 am until the market ends at 2 pm with a variety of adoptable cats and
dogs of all ages who are eager to meet their furrever families!
