Pet of the Week: Meet Ren!

Pet of the Week: Meet Ren!

Meet Ren! He was initially trapped under the Trap, Neuter, and Replace (TNR) program. It quickly became obvious that he was in no shape to be released. Suffering from rectal prolapse, a life-threatening condition if left untreated, as well as stomach issues and fleas, Ren was in desperate need of medical intervention. With time and many veterinary visits, Ren is on the mend and almost ready for adoption.

Ren

Ren is a mostly black kitten with a sprinkling of white across his chest and back. He still has the distinct tabby swirls visible on each side as well. Ren is now ten weeks old and an extremely active kitten who loves to chase after his kitten toys and balls. This talkative boy will run circles around the room, pouncing on his toy mouse and batting it around for hours.

Once in your lap, Ren will purr loudly when you stroke his belly, and when cradled, looks up with his big round eyes and pulls you in. He has interacted with adult cats and shown curiosity and respect towards them. Ren is looking for a home with high activity levels and two- or four-legged companions to help him burn off his young kitten energy. Apply to give this bundle of energy a furrever home!

Our Neighborhood Pet Project's next adoption event is the first Saturday of October, their monthly adoption event at the Salinas Farmers Market from 10 am until 2 pm. We’ll have both cats and dogs of all ages attending, and we encourage you to stop by and meet our furry friends!
