Pet of the Week: Meet Homelander!
Meet Homelander, the last of the kittens in The Boys litter to be featured as the Pet of the Week! He and his five siblings were all rescued from the Royal Oaks area when their mom was trapped for a Trap, Neuter, and Replace (TNR) program. Now only Hughie and Homelander remain.
Homelander is a handsome orange tabby boy who is now fifteen weeks old. Like most kittens of his age,
Homelander is full of curiosity and playfulness, spending most of his time wrestling with his sibling Hughie or chasing after his numerous kitten toys. He isa very affectionate boy and will return to his foster
parents regularly for additional pets in between bouts
of play.
Homelander is currently living with other older foster kittens and has been exposed to medium
dogs. While he was not immediately receptive, he did relax after about 15 minutes of being in the same
room. Homelander is looking for a home with medium energy levels, and definitely needs two- or fourlegged companions at his age. Young kittens have a great deal of energy and curiosity and benefit from companionship most of the day.
Our Neighborhood Pet Project's next adoption event is this Saturday. It’s our monthly adoption event at the Salinas Farmers Market from 10 am until 2 pm. Both cats and dogs of all ages attending, and we encourage you to stop by and meet our furry friends!
