Pet of the Week: Meet Moyer!
Meet Moyer! He’s part of a litter of six that a Greenfield family surrendered to Our
Neighborhood Pet Project (ONPP), and if you’ll recall, his brother Mandarin was featured here a few weeks ago. While the size of the litter meant they were divided among two foster homes, all the remaining kittens have been spayed or neutered and are ready for adoption.
Moyer is almost fourteen weeks old now, and with his dark ear tips and classic blue eyes, he is a tabby color point Siamese mix. He lives with his brothers and several older foster kittens, and all get along very well. Moyer is quite typical of Siamese cats, being both very talkative and affectionate. While he loves playing with his numerous toys and playmates, he never hesitates to greet his foster
parents when they enter the room.
He will happily get his lap time in, purring and gazing into their eyes for some time before resuming play. Moyer has also developed a liking to being a shoulder percher and will regularly sit there to take in the room from a different perspective. He has a brown tabby brother and a tuxedo-colored brother, so any two would be great if you’re considering a multiple adoption. This would be particularly ideal if there aren’t already animals in the home. As a Siamese kitten, we expect Moyer to continue to be talkative and affectionate as he gets older. His ideal home environment should be medium to high activity and have other companions around most of the day.
If you're interested in adopting Moyer, you can submit an adoption application at www.ourneighborhoodpetproject.org. Or visit their next adoption event two weekends from now, on Saturday, July 20th, at PetSmart in Salinas, from 11 am until 2 pm. They’ll be celebrating National Adoption Week during this event and we will have both cats and dogs at this event!
