South County Animal Rescue hosts low-cost vaccination clinic

SOLEDAD, Calif. (KION) South County Animal Rescue will be hosting a low-cost vaccination clinic at its visitor's center Saturday.

Between 9 a.m. and 12 p.m., staff will be giving vaccines to cats and dogs. Cats and puppies under the age of 6 months must be in crates, and dogs must be on leashes.

These are the costs of vaccines for dogs:

  • Rabies: $20
  • Adult booster/DA2PP: $20
  • Booster/DA2PP/Corona/Lepto: $35
  • Puppy Pack/DA2PP/CV/De-worm: $45
  • Dog Pack/DA2PP and Rabies: $40
  • Flu shot: $30
  • Bordatella: $20
  • Rattlesnake Vaccine: $20

These are the costs of vaccines for cats:

  • Rabies: $20
  • Indoor Booster/FVRCP: $20
  • Indoor/Outdoor Booster (FVRCP and Leukemia): $35
  • Kitten Pack (FVRCP, Leukemia and De-worm): $45

Roundworm deworming costs $10 and tapeworm deworming depends on the animal's weight. An Idexx heartworm test costs $25.

The clinic will be in the visitor center parking lot by the clock, and masks and social distancing will be enforced. The organization will accept cash, Venmo and Zelle.
