Hollister to welcome a new vice mayor over the next few weeks; Hollister City Council

HOLLISTER, Calif. (KION-TV) -- The City of Hollister voted to change its vice mayor seat over at least the next few weeks.

In Hollister's city council meeting Monday, it was mentioned that council member Rick Perez will be taking over the role from Rolan Resendiz, who currently occupies the seat.

The council decided to make this shift after finding that Resendiz did not acknowledge and sign off on a new set of rules in regards to the council's code of conduct, according to the meeting.

Past meetings show the censure of Resendiz by the council after they say he was disruptive during the meeting.

Perez's current term expires this month and he was not re-elected for the seat by voters in District One,. according to election results.
